Bienvenido – welcome to Cuba! Our holiday starts with a flight to Cuba’s captivating capital, Havana. After we’ve transferred to our centrally located hotel, there’s time to relax and enjoy our surroundings – we have booked into one of the best hotels in the city, after all! Perhaps you’ll make your way to the swimming pool for a dip, or maybe head out into the city to explore.

There can be no better way to explore this unique city than by heading off on a tour in a convoy of classic American vintage cars. After driving down streets lined by elegant buildings, many of which have been magnificently restored, we’ll continue our explorations on foot.

We’ll seek shade as we step inside some of the city’s colonial churches and the famous Museum of the Revolution, where exhibits include memorabilia from Cuba’s revolutionary war led by Fidel Castro in the 1950s. With time at leisure, you can carry on exploring, choose to go back to the hotel to enjoy its facilities, or head to one of the city’s rooftop bars for a cocktail or two!

Our exploration of Havana continues today with a walking tour, starting at Revolution Square. Cuba is famous for its hand-rolled cigars, and we’ll check out some of the city’s cigar factories and shops, where we’ll see just how they are made. Our days ends as we enjoy the music and dancing at a spectacular Legends of Havana show.

This morning we leave Havana, driving west to Soroa, known as the ‘rainbow of Cuba’ thanks to its stunning natural beauty. On a tour, we’ll discover the town itself, a beautiful orchid garden, botanical gardens and spectacular waterfalls.

After a stop at Las Terrazas eco-lodge for lunch, we continue to Vinales, where tobacco and sugar cane fields form a stunning backdrop. We’ll explore this scenic landscape on foot with a short walk, and also have the option to journey through the valley on horseback.

On our first full day in Vinales, let’s rise early to visit the fascinating El Indio Cave, an ancient indigenous dwelling which we access on foot and then by boat on an underground river. Our afternoon highlight is a visit to one of the area’s tobacco plantations, where we’ll learn more about Cuban cigars, before we head into the Vinales Valley for a walk amongst this UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s the perfect place to take plenty of photos and videos.

Trinidad is home to brightly coloured colonial architecture and winding cobblestone streets. It’s where we’re heading today, and on arrival we’ll take a walk around to experience its beauty. One of the best-preserved colonial cities in the Caribbean, the whole place is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can then explore at your leisure, soaking up its laid-back vibe, its Afro-Cuban music and maybe a mojito.

We got to know Trinidad a little yesterday, so today has been left free for you to make your own discoveries. If you want to soak up the sun, enjoy a swim or go snorkelling, head to the beach. Playa Ancon offers long stretches of white sand and an incredible coral reef.

As the evening draws near, we’ll get together for a treat – a live cooking experience with traditional dishes for us to try.

We’ve an early start this morning, for our journey to the idyllic resort of Varadero, with a stop at a traditional sugar mill, on the way.

Once at your beachfront hotel, it’s relaxation all the way for the next three days, with a 13-mile stretch of white sand and turquoise waters to enjoy. The hotel also has a huge swimming pool with sun terrace, as well as a great choice of restaurants and bars, and it’s all included in your stay!

Spend today enjoying the wonderful facilities at your hotel. Why not unwind in the whirlpool or treat yourself to a relaxing treatment in the spa.

Head to the beach for one final day of relaxation, or, if you’re feeling energetic, you can play tennis or volleyball, or even try your hand at archery – it’s all included at your hotel.

On our final evening we’ll all get together and head off for a catamaran dinner cruise – what a great way to toast a fantastic holiday!
